Goals of the association

• Protecting the interests of its members by taking necessary steps with authorities, institutions and associations
• Warning about unfair elements in collector and dealer circles
• Promoting the stamp trade through contemporary philatelic propaganda
• Promoting philatelic knowledge through moral – possibly also financial – support, publishing philatelic publications and organizing or supporting public lectures and exhibitions
• The SBHV is responsible for the editorial part of the Swiss Stamp Catalogue (SBK)
• Combating all forms of counterfeiting or falsification of postage stamps, counterfeiters and counterfeiting, as well as reporting newly emerging counterfeits
• Combating unfair competition in our industry
• Holding scientific and practical lectures and courses for its members
• Preparation for higher professional examinations
• Fostering collegiality by organizing appropriate events that allow for personal discussion among individual members
• Appointment of a commission to advise relatives of deceased members
• Mediation in disputes between members
• We are a Swiss-wide professional association and are a member of the IFSDA (International Federation of Stamp Dealers Associations).

Golden Dove

Stamp enthusiast and universal genius

Stamp Dealers Association awarded the «Golden Dove» to artist Hans Erni

Hans Erni is not only Switzerland's most popular artist, he has also shaped philatelic art like no other. Therefore, the Swiss Stamp Dealers Association (SBHV) awarded him the «Golden Dove» badge of honor on Friday, August 7, 2009, at the Hans Erni Museum in Lucerne.
